Abigail Breslin – Early life

Abigail had the star-studded life since childhood. She was born in New York city to Kim and Michael Breslin. Her father is a computer programmer and consultant. Her older brothers Spencer and Ryan are also actors. Abigail was exposed to the glamour world at a very young age. She starred in a commercial when she was only three years old.  In fact, she appeared in the first movie of her life Signs (2002) at the age of 5. After that, she didn’t look back. She kept landing roles in movies and TV shows. Some notable movies in which she appeared as a child actress include Little Miss Sunshine (2006), No Reservations (2007), Nim’s Island (2008), Definitely Maybe (2008), My Sister’s Keeper (2009)  and some others.

She landed a regular role in the TV series Scream Queens on Fox in the year 2015. Abigail had received her moment of success with Little Miss Sunshine which was a massive hit. She got the recognition that she needed from that movie.

She avoids unnecessary carbs and includes as much of protein rich food items in her meals as she can. She especially stays away from sugary drinks. Breslin believes that the liquid calories are the worst. If you drink a glass of cola, you are consuming nothing but sugar. Thus she resists the temptation to consume sugary drinks even on a hot day. She prefers to drink a simple glass of water instead of anything sugary. She also remembers to include more vegetables and fibrous fruits in her diet in order to improve metabolism.

Abigail Breslin follows a strict workout routine to maintain her body. However, she also believes that no woman should be fat-shamed or body-shamed. Every woman is beautiful in her own way. She feels very strongly about people commenting on women’s pictures about their weight and what’s wrong with their body & dressing. As per You Beauty Magazine, on the ocassion of Selena Gomez being body shamed for her pictures on instagram, Abigail said:

“HOW ARE YOUNG GIRLS SUPPOSED TO GROW UP NORMALLY AND NOT FEEL BAD ABOUT THEMSELVES AND NOT DEVELOP EATING DISORDERS IF IT’S LITERALLY NATIONAL HEADLINE NEWS THAT A THIN GIRL MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE PUT ON A FEW POUNDS, AND YET STILL REMAINS THIN?”

Abigail likes to stay fit and healthy and thus follows a workout routine for 4 days a week. She does the usual cardio, weight training and adds some zumba & aerobics to it as well. She says that she works out to stay healthy and not get obese. However, she feels that she was always comfortable in her body, even when she was chubby. Her opinion towards the matter is that everyone should feel comfortable in their own body, no matter what weight or shape they are.
